Static Shear

Id:22
Measure unit:h
Procedure:Panel Preparation: Clean the test panel thoroughly with acetone and an absorbent cleaning material. Dry the panel using a clean piece of absorbent material. Avoid touching the panel surface with your fingers. Sample Preparation: From a representative sample of material, cut strips 25 mm wide and at least 175 mm long. Ensure the cuts are clean and straight. Adhesive Application: Place the adhesive-coated facing material, adhesive side down, onto a clean test plate using light finger pressure, so that an exact square area of 25 × 25 mm of pressure-sensitive material covers the surface. Roll once in each direction with the hand roller. Fixing the Strip: Secure the free end of the strip to the clip as close as possible to the edge of the plate by folding it and fastening with a stapler. Testing Procedure: Place the test panel into the jig rack and attach a 1 kg weight to the clip. Ensure the strip is taut and straight. Record the time taken for the strip to detach from the plate. Check whether any adhesive residue remains on the panel. Environmental Conditions: Maintain room temperature between 20°C and 22°C.
